A Michigan woman narrowly escaped serious injury after someone threw a pumpkin at her car while she was driving on an Indiana interstate highway.
According to Indiana State Police, the woman, 64-year-old Susan Brown, was driving eastbound around 9:30 p.m. when a pumpkin smashed through the driver’s side of her car’s windshield. Brown’s car then crashed into a ditch after the incident.
Authorities say the pumpkin was thrown from the North Goldring Road overpass, five miles east of the Michigan City exit.
Brown suffered only minor injuries, police said.
